Sugar Shove is a play-money social poker game published by Socio Connect LLC. This policy explains what the app collects, why, how long it is kept, and how to get rid of it.
Socio Connect LLC is the data controller for Sugar Shove. Contact us at privacy@socio-connect.com about anything in this policy, including a request to access or delete your data.
An anonymous account is created. It has an internal identifier and nothing else: no email address, no name, no phone number, no device advertising identifier. The account lives on this installation of the app. If you delete the app without linking a sign-in method, the account becomes unreachable.
Signing in attaches that identity to your existing account so you can reach it again from another device. From the provider we receive:
We never receive your password. We do not post anything, read your contacts, or access anything else in your Apple or Google account.
| Data | Why we hold it | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Seat name and avatar you choose | So other players can tell who is at the table | Until you delete your account |
| Chip balance, level, experience, daily streak | It is the game | Until you delete your account |
| Chip ledger — every movement of chips, with its reason | So a balance can always be explained, and so a purchase cannot be credited twice | Until you delete your account |
| Hands you played, seats you took, clubs you belong to, leaderboard scores | To run the game, show your history and rank you | Until you delete your account |
| Table chat you send | To show it to the table | Deleted automatically on a short rolling window |
| Play limits you set, and any break you take | To enforce them. A break is deliberately not reversible | Until you delete your account |
| Purchases: what was bought, when, on which platform, and the store's receipt | To verify the purchase with Apple or Google and credit it once | Until you delete your account. Apple and Google keep their own record of a transaction under their policies, which we cannot delete |
If you report another player, we record who reported whom, the reason, and a snapshot of the surrounding table conversation taken at the moment of the report. The snapshot is necessary: ordinary chat is deleted on a short window, and someone who realises they are being reported must not be able to change what a reviewer sees.
If you block another player, we record that, so the two of you are never seated together again.
Reports, blocks and enforcement decisions are deleted along with the account they belong to, in either direction: delete your account and a report you filed goes with it, as does a report filed against you.
Each time the app starts, our server derives a country from the network address the request arrives on, to check the game is available where you are. We do not store your IP address or that country against your account. The check is answered and discarded.
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, our lawful bases are: contract, for the data needed to run an account and a game you asked to play; legitimate interests, for keeping the game safe and free of cheating and abuse, and for keeping records that stop a purchase being credited twice; and legal obligation, for records we must retain, such as transaction records.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of processors to run the service:
Other players see only your seat name, avatar, level, and how you have played at a table you share. They never see your email address.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, transfers are made under the standard contractual clauses those providers publish.
Sugar Shove is for adults. It is rated 18+ and asks for a date of birth before it lets anyone play. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has created an account, write to privacy@socio-connect.com and we will delete it.
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Access to the database is restricted by row-level security, so one player's account cannot read another's. Access to the moderation console is limited to named moderators and every action taken there is logged against the moderator who took it. No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
